SRINAGAR: Minister for Rural Development, Abdul Haq on Monday said that work on four-lanning of Jammu-Srinagar NH is under progress and has been undertaken by National Highway Authority of India in six packages. Replying to a question of Dharambir Singh Oberoi in the Legislative Council, the minister said that 97 % work has been completed on NH from Jammu bypass to Udhampur bypass, 86 % on Chenani – Nashri stretch including a 9 Km tunnel, about 61 % on Banihal-Srinagar and 51 % on Banihal – Qazigund road has been completed so far.
