JAMMU: As part of promotion policy and to encourage workmanship in cadre, Inspector General of Police, Railways, Mohammad Sulaiman Salaria, on Friday ordered in-situ grade promotion to 30 cops including seven Head Constables and 30 Sergeant Constables, who have completed nine years of satisfactory service in one rank in the police department and were found eligible for their in-situ promotion.
The said promotions were earlier approved by the Departmental Promotion Committee of Railway Police Headquarters J and K in pursuance to Police Headquarters J and K order no. 250 of 2015 dated 29th January, 2015 and in terms of the principle guidelines/ criteria enshrined in SRO- 14 of 1996 dated 15th January, 1996 read with SRO 225 dated 4th July, 1997.
The IGP Railways felicitated the promoted officials and hoped that they will work hard to serve the people and the department with the same zeal and dedication in future as well.
