31 bovines rescued, four held

JAMMU: Police on Thursday arrested four bovine smugglers and rescued 31 bovines from their possession.
Police party of Police Station Jajjar Kotli laid a Naka in their jurisdiction. During naka, the police party intercepted two trucks bearing Registration No. PB06V/6434 and JK02BF /4921. On search of these vehicles, police rescued 31 bovines from the clutches of bovine smugglers.
The arrested bovine smugglers have been identified as Noor Hussain, son of Barket Ali, resident of Kattal Battal Nagrato, Mohammad Musshtaq son of Abdul Majid, resident of Sainik Colony Nagrota, Jeevan Mashi son of Khurshid Mashi, resident of Dina Nagar, District Gurdaspur, Punjab and Farman Ali son of Saraj Din, resident of Taraha Tehsil Dansal Jammu. All the accused were arrested and a case FIR No. 61/2016 under Section 188 / RPC 3/5 PCA Act was registered and started investigation in this regard.
