RAMBAN:District Develo-pment Commissioner (DDC) Ramban, Mohammad Aijaz convened a meeting with the officers to review the status of ration supply at various ration depots in the district.
The meeting was attended by DIO NIC, Tehsil Supply Officers (TSOs) of Banihal, Ramban, Batote, Rajgarh, Ramsoo and Gool. It was disclosed that a total of 67813 ration cards for 2,84,705 people have so far been prepared under NFSA in the district, out of these 4,949 among AAY, 16,374 BPL, 18,938 PHH and 27,090 for NPHH besides 462 in exclusion category. The meeting was also informed that 6,500 Qtl food grain quota is supplied to the dealers every month under NFSA and in remote areas ration for next three months has already been supplied. The DDC directed the TSOs to ensure the quality of ration before supplying it to consumers. He also instructed the officers to keep enough stock of commodities in early snow bound areas.
