RAJOURI: Three persons were killed and 10 others injured on Friday when a Tempo Traveller they were travelling in rolled down from road and fell into a deep gorge in Rajouri District.
The tempo, on its way from Budhal to Kotranka, developed a mechanical defect and rolled down. Three passengers, identified as Mohd Ramzan son of Mohd Razak, Shahbaz Ahmed son of Nazir Hussain both residents of Chasana, Mohd Gulzar son of Abdullah resident of Sanglikote were killed while 10 others got injured and were under treatment at Rajouri Hospital.
The victims were immediately shifted by the Romeo Force and brought to Budhal Hospital. The bodies will be handed over to the families after autopsy on Saturday.
Meanwhile, Minister for Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution Department Chowdhary Zulfkar Ali expressed shock over Budhal accident in which three persons died.
The minister expressed sympathy with the affected families and prayed to Almighty for peace to the departed soul. Chowdhary Zulfkar instructed Reasi administration to provide ex gratia relief for affected families.
The minister instructed health authorities Rajouri to manage free treatment to the injured at Budhal and District Hospital.
