JAMMU: Police on Wednesday arrested a drug peddler and recovered three Kg Ganja from his possession.
In continuation with the Operation Sanjeevni, a drive against drugs launched by SSP Jammu Dr. Sunil Gupta, In-charge Police Post Narwal, Mahmood khan and SHO Trikuta Nagar, Inspector Kuldeep Khajuria intercepted a pedestrian Shyam Sunder Kurmi, son of Budhoo Lal Kurmi, resident of Khalhepara Village Rogda Tehsil Nawa Ghar, Distric, Janjgir Champa, Chattisgarh, at Rajiv Nagar Narwal Chowk Jammu.
On search of his belongings, three kilograms of Ganja was recovered from his possession. A case FIR number 72/16 under Section 8/20/NDPS Act was registered in Police Station Tirkuta Nagar and started Investigation.
The arrest was made under the supervision of SDPO East Chandan Kohli and SP South Sahzaad Salaria.
