SRINAGAR: Police arrested three gamblers and recovered Rs 32,000 as stake money from their possession in Soura area here on Monday.
Following a tip off, a police party of Police Station Soura raided a gambling place near Mallabag, Hazratbal and arrested three gamblers identified as Umer Ahmad Dar, Sajad Ahmad Sofi and Altaf Ahmad Sofi. Police recovered Rs 32,000 as stake money from the gambling site.
Police registered a case FIR number 02/2017 under Section 13 Gambling Act against these gamblers and took up the investigation.
