28 bovines rescued, two held

MAHORE: Police on Sunday foiled a bovine smuggling bid by rescuing 19 bovines from the clutches of bovine smuggler.
According to a report, a specific information was received at SPP Gulabgarh that some persons along with bovines were on way from Dewal Dugga towards Kashmir Valley via Arital on foot without any legal permission.
On this, a police team from Police Component Gulabgarh led by Incharge Police Component Gulabgarh rushed to the spot and rescued 19 bovines from the possession of the accused person. The accused was identified as Bashir Ahmed son of Qadir resident of Dewal Dugga Tehsil Mahore. He has been arrested and a case vide FIR No. 30/2016 under section 188 RPC was registered at Police Station Mahore.
Meanwhile, a police party Of Police Station Chenani leb by SHO Mahesh Sharma seized a Tata Mobile carrying nine bovines at a Naka at Madha NH Chenani. The accused driver identified as Kalu son of Mussa resident of Bali Udhampur was arrested and bovines were rescued. A case vide FIR No.51/16 under section 188 RPC /3PCA Act was registered.
