KATHUA: A total of 2,498 service voters exercised their franchise on Thursday in all five Assembly Segments viz-Bani, Basohli, Kathua, Billawar and Hiranagar at designated polling stations in respective the above Assembly constituencies.
The total of 90.44 per cent polling percentage of service voters was registered. A total of 2,762 ballot papers were issued to the service voters of respective constituencies by Returning Officers of Kathua District.
In Bani, 379 votes were polled, in Basohli-540, Kathua-576, Billawar-617 and Hiranagar -386 votes were polled.
It is pertinent to mention here that the general polling for all five Assembly constituencies of Kathua District will be held on 20th December 2014, in fifth phase of Jammu and Kashmir Assembly elections.
