JAMMU: A 24-year-old girl was killed on Saturday when a two-wheeler which she was driving was hit by a truck in Jammu.
Nisha Sharma, daughter of Punnu Lal Sharma, resident of Gurha Bakshi Nagar died on the spot when her two-wheeler (JK02BG-5047) was hit by a truck (JK02R-7685) at Panama Chowk, a police officer said.
He said the truck’s driver managed to flee from the spot.
“A case has been registered and manhunt has been launched to arrest the accused driver,” the officer said.
Nisha reportedly was working as Operation Theatre Technician in the Department of Health Services at the Amarnath Yatra pilgrimage Camp Railway Station Jammu.
