SRINAGAR: The Enforcement squad headed by Assistant Director Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution Kashmir conducted market inspections in the city and booked 24 erring traders for violating Essential Commodities Act, 1955. The squad inspected 92 business establishment at Dalgate, Brane, Nishat, Shalimar, Sake Dafar, Safa Kadal, Eidgah, Zadibal, Lal Bazar, Badamwari, Rainawari and Khanyar and realized Rs. 13,600 as fine from 24 erring shopkeepers for violation of the Essential Commodities Act, 1955.
