SAMBA: Police on Friday foiled a bovine smuggling by rescuing 24 bovines and arresting two smugglers.
As per the details, one truck (JK02AB /6058) on its way to Srinagar from Samba was stopped by Police Post Mansar for checking.
On detailed search of the vehicle, 24 bovines loaded in the truck were rescued by the police.
Driver identified as Mohd Anief son of Mohd Gani resident of Kanachak Jammu and his conductor namely Mohd Sad son of Mohd Fareed resident of Sunderbani Rajouri were arrested and case under relevant section was registered against them.
