JAMMU: Shiv Sena in collaboration with Shri Shiv Shakti Vaishno Sewa Mandal, New Delhi shall be organising 21st Vishal Bhandara here at Yatri Niwas Bhagwati Nagar from 30th June two days ahead of commencement of Shri Amarnath Yatra which is scheduled to begin on 2nd July.
This was disclosed by Shiv Sena State President Dimpy Kohli while addressing a press conference here on Sunday. He was flanked by Vice President Shri Shiv Shakti Vaishno Sewa Mandal, New Delhi Yashpal Sharma, State General Secretary Shiv Sena G.I Singh, Rajan Gupta and Narinder Dev Chunni. “Other than Langar, Bhandara will also provide free mattresses to all Yatris free of cost”, he said and added that Shiv Sena has submitted memorandum to Governor N.N Vohra demanding safe and secure Yatra for pilgrims of Shri Amarnath Yatra, keeping in view the threat from terrorists. Other demands include subsidised LPG cylinders for all Langars, medical checkup and registration counter facilities for Yatris at base camp, in case of death of any devotee during Yatra, the shrine board should bear the expenses for sending the body to native place, subsidy on fare for foreign and Indian pilgrims on the pattern of Hajj pilgrims.
