21 traders registered for GST during camp

AKHNOOR: SDM Akhnoor conducted awareness camp on Goods and Service Taxes (GST) at Forest Guest House Akhnoor under the guidance of Deputy Commissioner Jammu, Rajeev Ranjan and supervision of Anuradha Gupta ADDC Jammu in order to create awareness among the traders and general public of Sub Division Akhnoor regarding GST. The camp was organised in coordination with Department of Commercial Taxes. B.S Chib CTO, Inspector Chander, Gharu Ram Executive Officer Akhnoor, Sanjeevan Sharma, Naib Tehsildar Akhnoor participated in the awareness camp in which traders were sensitised about one nation one tax-GST.
Speaking on the occasion, SDM Akhnoor informed that continuous effort will be put in promoting 100 per cent registration of eligible dealers/traders/industrialists in Akhnoor Sub Division. Detailed discussion on GST was made in order to mitigate the apprehensions of local dealer about GST. SDM Akhnoor motivated presidents of various trade unions along with shopkeepers to register themselves under Goods and Services Tax. A large number of people participated in the camp in which 21 traders were registered under Goods and Service Tax and almost all the traders showed their willingness to register themselves under GST and other traders present in the camp were also motivated for registration.
