21-day girls Volleyball Camp by Army concludes

RAJOURI: To promote the game of Volleyball in rural pockets, the 155 TA of the Indian Army organised 21 days volleyball coaching camp involving 30 school going girls of Manjakote Zone of district Rajouri.
The special camp held under the direct supervision of GOC, Romeo Force Major General Manish Gupta, at Government Higher Secondary School Dehrilerote. The camp was supported by the Rajouri District Volleyball Association.
During the camp, the Indian Army provided uniform Tracksuit, shoes and volleyball as also volleyball nets. Incharge of the camp, Colonel D K Singh appreciated the efforts of Mohd Tariq, Incharge District Rajouri Volleyball Association in promoting the game among remote and boarder areas youth advising them to follow the footsteps of international players from J&K, Saqlain Tariq and Karthik Sharma.
Those present on the occasion were Qayoom Hussain Shah, Principal of the host school; Mohd Tariq and Sageer Khan.
