200 patients attend joint replacement consultation camp

JAMMU: Kavinder Gupta, Speaker, J and K Legislative Assembly, on Sunday inaugurated Free Joint Replacement Consultation Camp organised by Rotary Club of Jammu City here. More than 200 patients in Jammu got quality consultation from best experts in the field from Shalby Hospitals, Ahmedabad.
Rajesh Gupta, MLA Jammu East was the Guest of Honour. Kavinder said that problems related to knee and hip joints was a common problem associated with old age and congratulated Rotary Club of Jammu City for organising this camp that would help patients, particularly from the marginalised sections of the society to receive free consultation from the experts in the field.
MLA also stressed upon the need for such organisations to come to the rescue of the weaker sections of the society.
Addressing the gathering Ravinder Kaul, President, Rotary Club of Jammu City said that on realising that knee and hip problems are becoming very common these days in our society, members of had decided to hold this camp. He thanked Shalby Hospitals and the students, staff and management of Alexander Memorial School, particularly Esther William, Principal for making the camp a success. He also thanked Nidhan Diagnostics Jammu for providing free diabetes check-up at the camp. Floral tributes were paid to the Father of Nation. Later, eminent Ort-hopedicians Dr. Bhanu Pratap Singh Saluja, Dr. Dhananjay and Dr. Uday Vyas from Shalby Hospitals, Ahmadabad atten-ded on the patients and gave free advice to them.
Sandeepan Beri and Rajesh Pandey from Shalby Hosp-itals, S.K Sawhney, Secretary, Adeep Mehta, Sanjeev Vaid, Sandeep Beri, Sanjay Bansal and Arun Ninawat made untiring efforts for making the camp a success. Anil Swaraj conducted the proceedings of the programme.
