RAJOURI: Police on Wednesday arrested two drug peddlers from Danidhar area of Rajouri town along with 60 gms of brown sugar.
As per the details, a police party of SOG Rajouri under the supervision of Dy.SP Ops. Iftkhar Ahmed and SHO Police Station Rajouri Inspr. Chaman Gorkha along with police party of Police Station Rajouri laid a special Naka at Dhanidhar, Rajouri and intercepted two drug peddlers namely Tauseef Hussain Shah son of Shabir Hussain resident of Dhanidhar and Murtaza Hussain alias Sanam Shah son of Nasir Hussain resident of Dhani Dhar.
The accused persons on seeing police party tried to flee from the spot but police apprehended them. On their search, 40gm brown sugar was recovered from Murtaza Hussain and 20 gm from Tauseef Hussain Shah. A case vide FIR No.721/2016 under section 8/20/21/22 NDPS Act was registered at Police Station Rajouri.
