GUNDOH: Two persons died on the spot while nine others got injured when a Sumo in which they were travelling rolled down into a deep gorge at Gundoh area of Doda District.
“A Sumo bearing registration No JK06-5275 which was on its way to Gundoh, on reaching Gangal Goibar rolled down into a deep gorge resulting death of two persons and injuries to nine others ” SHO Gundoh Sajjad said.
The dead were identified as Hashman Ding son of Mohd Sadiq and Ranjana Devi both residents of Inhara.
Whereas injured were identified as Mohd Ashfaq, Parvez Ahmed and Iraf Ahmad all sons of Hasham Din resident of Inhara, Sheela Devi daughter of Shiv Dass resident of Pora Bala, Tilak Raj son of Sab Ram resident of Inhara, Kailash Kumar son of Vinod Singh resident of Kahaljugasar, Maneesha Devi daughter of Mahinder Kapoor resident of Tipri, Bipna Devi wife of Rakesh Kumar and Kanchan Devi daughter of Partap Singh both residents of Kahal.
The injured were rushed to SDH for treatment and an FIR No 147/2014 was also registered by the police.
