JAMMU: Police on Monday claimed to have busted an interstate drug racket with the arrest of five persons and seizure of 194 grams of heroin like substance and cash worth Rs 9.49 lakh from their possession.
A police party of Gangyal Police Station apprehended one car bearing registration No DL3CBM-5745 at the naka and during checking, around 194 grams of heroin like substance and cash Rs 9.49 lakhs were recovered from it.
According to reports, of the five arrested one belongs to Punjab and four belonged to Kashmir Valley.
A case FIR No 134/2016 under Section 8/21 NDPS Act was registered at Police Station Gangyal.
The arrest was made by Police Party of Police Station, Gangyal headed by Inspector Aijaz Ahmed, SHO Police Station Gangyal under the supervision of SDPO City South, Sachin Gupta and SP City South, Shahzad Ahmed Salaria.
