JAMMU: A total of 19 projects including 11 in senior and eight junior were selected for State Level National Children Science Congress, a programme of National Council for Urban and Rural Development Society (NCURDS).
Earlier, around 300 children including teachers of different schools of Jammu District participated in the event and about 60 projects were presented by the children in District level Children Science Congress organised at St. Peter’s High School, BC Road, on 20th October..
The programme was supported by NCSTC, Department of Science and Technology, Delhi and organised under the supervision of Zaffar Ullah Khan, State Coordinator, NCSC, J and K.
The projects selected for State level in Senior Category are Sustainable Festivity (KC International School), Bioplastic (BSF Senior Secondary School, Paloura), Accessibility for Disability (SOS Herman Jammu), A Helping hand (Heritage School), Food and Agriculture (Shiksha Niketan, Jeevan Nagar), Giloy (Government Higher Secondary School, Bahu Fort), Eco-friendly farming (Carmel Convent Kunjwani), Sparking smile (GHSS, Paloura), Life Style and Livelihood from (Shiksha Niketan, Jeevan Nagar), Use of Bio-fertilizers (Presentation Convent) and Conservation of Petroleum (KC Gurukul, Jammu).
The projects selected in Junior Category are Health Hygiene and Nutrition (Heritage School), Waste Management (Jodhamal School), Sustainable Development (KC International), Pollution Health and Hygiene (SOS Herman), Congress Grass (KC International), Waste to Energy (KC Gurukul), Solar Panel (Shiksha Niketan, Jeevan Nagar) and Disaster Management (Heritage School).
