JAMMU: Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR), in collaboration with J&K Tourism Department organised J&K Cultural Show here at Yatri Bhawan.
Jam-packed audience largely the pilgrims of Shri Amarnath Yatra had the life-time occasion to witness the cultural diversity of Jammu and Kashmir presented through the spectacular dances representing Dogri, Kashmiri, Ladakhi, Gojri, Pahari and Bhadarwahi culture and traditions. Welcoming the audience, Regional Director ICCR Balwant Thakur spoke at length about the cultural strength of the State. He informed that J&K Tourism with the objective of showcasing the diverse range of the cultural variety of the State has entrusted the task to ICCR to devise a professional presentation which represented the entire cultural essence and ethos of the State.
Amazed by this spectacular programme a visitor from Allahabad said the he and his family never had the occasion to see this aspect of the state of Jammu and Kashmir though he is coming for Amarnath Yatra regularly for the last ten years. He further said that the spectacular imprint of such an impressive programme is going to live with him for life.
The programme was conceptualised and designed by Balwant Thakur.
Rakesh Kumar Kona was the Choreographer of the show whereas a team of over thirty artists and technicians toiled to mke the event a great success.
