18 bovines rescued, 2 smugglers nabbed

RAJOURI: Police on Saturday foiled two bovine smuggling bids by recuing 18 bovines and arresting two smugglers.
According to a report, Thanamandi Police led by SHO Police Station Thanamandi Inspr. Narinder Singh Chib under the supervision of SDPO Thanamandi Iftqar Talib laid a Naka at Thanamandi and seized 10 bovines which were on its way from Rajouri to Srinagar via Thanamandi being illegally smuggled.
Police arrested one bovine smuggler namely Shakoor Ahmed son of Abdul Rahim resident of Khablan Thanamandi. A case under FIR No. 81/2015 section 188 RPC, 3 PCA was registered at Police Station Thanamandi.
Similarly, Police Post City Police led by In-Charge Police Post SI Jhangir Ahmed under the supervision of SHO Police Station Rajouri Yashpaul Singh laid a Naka at Workshop Bridge Rajouri and seized eight bovines from the possession of Gulzar Hussain son of Mohd Abdullah resident of Khoriwali, Darhal. A case under FIR No. 309/2015 section 188 RPC 3 PCA was registered at Police Station Rajouri.
