17th Bawa Kailakh Dev Vishal Dangal organised

JAMMU: The main bout played between Abdul Gani and Bupinder Ajanala ended with draw while the second main bout was won by Benia Been of J and K Police defeating Satnam in the 17th Shri Bawa Kailakh Dev Vishal Dangal, organised by Shri Bawa Kailakh Dev Dangal Committee at Raipur Thather, here on Sunday.
The Spokesperson of Dangal Committee, Mahant Rohit Shastri told the significance of organising this Dangal annually.
According to him, Bawa Kailakh Dev played Dangal and kabbadi with the local youth of this area.
It was organised to give a platform to young wrestlers to show their specific art and to spread a message of unity and sportsmanship.
Earlier, the programme began with Hawan in the Dev Asthan to seek the blessings of the Almighty. Sangat performed various Bhajan Kirtan and other cultural programmes
Then homage was paid to late Lambardar Sukhdev Singh, all the flood victims of J and K and the people who lost their live in the border firing. About 300 individual set of games were played in this Dangal function with cash prizes of total of Rs 6 lakh were distributed to all the winners. Ex-MLA Satpal Kalotra, SDPO Domana, Sajnay Parihar and SHO Domana were the Chief Guests on the occasion.
The Organising Committee members who made the Dangal successful included Chairman K.D Singh, President Nadan Singh, Mahesh Sharma, Azhar Ali, Sunil Raka, Surinder Singh, Gulam Rasool, Master Farook, Kuldeep Singh, Prem Choudary and Shakti Dutt, Harman Singh, Shabil Singh, Mohammed Hafeez and Yash Seth.
