49 bags of CAPD sugar seized

SRINAGAR: Over 49 bags of government sugar meant for the Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution (CAPD) Department were recovered from a shop in Uri area of Baramulla district of Kashmir. “On 26th June, we had arrested a Shopkeeper Ali Mohammad Chalko resident of Chalko, who on questioning revealed that he had hoarded 49 bags of CAPD sugar in a shop, following which recovered the sugar,” SHO Uri Gh Mohd Rather told a Srinagar based news agency. “We have registered a case against the Shopkeeper under FIR No. 49/2016, Section 409, 109,” SHO added.
