POONCH: On the directions of District Development Commissioner (DDC) Poonch Mohammad Haroon Malik, the record of the Auqaf has been seized by Tehsildar Poonch.
Based on the complaints from the public regarding large scale bungling in the Auqaf record and malfunctioning of the office, the DDC issued instructions to the Tehsildar Haveli, Poonch Shehzad Latief Khan to seize the complete record of Auqaf. The Tehsildar acting on the directions seized all the records including registers, cash book, cheque books, vouchers and all concerned documents.
While talking to Media, Tehsildar said that leave aside the maintenance of records, most of the documents were not even signed or endorsed by any officer. “The shortcomings if any will be brought to light after thorough check of record and the property on ground”, he added.
