JAMMU: The State unit of Shri Ram Sena lashed out at the State BJP-PDP Coalition Government for its total failure in providing good governance in the State. Taking a dig on the Mehbooba Mufti Government, State President, Shri Ram Sena, Rajiv Mahajan said that it had failed to deliver its promises on all fronts and is completely ignoring the interests of the common man. Demanding time-bound delivery of services to citizens, Mahajan urged Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti and Deputy Chief Minister Dr Nirmal Singh to take strict action against the officials if they fail to provide services to citizens within a fixed time. “The strict action taken by government would cost government employees dearly if licenses, ration cards, birth/death certificates, caste validation certificates, RTI etc are not given to them within a stipulated time,” Rajiv said. Expressing regret over not providing information under RTI Act by the State Information Department to an RTI applicant seeking some information about distribution of advertisements to local dailies in Jammu and in Srinagar, Mahajan said that only a reply was received from Deputy Director Jammu Office but that too in partial mode, while no reply was received from Director Office Srinagar. Even the department did not bother to give reply to the appeal, Mahajan lamented. “Every designated officer or his subordinate public servant who fails to deliver the citizen related services to a citizen within the stipulated time be put under suspension,” Mahajan added.
