JAMMU: PHE Workers Welfare Association (PHEWWA) on Tuesday said that 85 days long Dharna of some individual groups, which have misled the innocent poor workers of the PHE Department, failed to succeed in solving the genuine demands of the workers.
While commenting on the leaders of the ITI Union, the Provincial President of the Association, Bakshi Singh said that after 85 days Dharna not a single demand of the workers has been achieved. These agitating leaders of the union, he said, were crying for regularisation of daily wagers asking that they will not leave the field till framing of the regularisation policy, now what happened?
He said that these self styled leaders of the union have played with the sentiments of the workers and have fulfilled their own interests.
Subash Verma, Provincial General Secretary and State President of Bhartiya Mazdoor Sangh, asked the PHE Minister that what action has been taken on the two separate charter of demands which have been submitted to him two months earlier. He urged the minister concerned to resolve the demands of the workers particularly the conducting of DPC meeting to promote the employees at least those who are retiring in month of July 2016 within a week’s time otherwise association will be forced to adopt the agitation path and authority concerned will be held responsible for the consequences.
The prominent leaders of the association present in the conference were Rattan Doshi, Swaran Singh, Ram Labhya, Surjeet Singh, Babu Singh, Ram Lal, Chuni Lal, Bansi Lal, Mohan Singh, Rajinder Chalotra, Manzoor Ali, Ravi Kumar, Kulbushan Nanda, Chain Kumar, Mohd, Shafi, Lal Chand and Vijant Kumar.
