Manjit asks BJP to clear stand on Sainik Colony

VIJAYPUR: Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) General Secretary and former minister Manjit Singh asked ruling BJP to clear its stand on the establishment of Sainik Colony.
As per a press statement, JKPCC General Secretary questioned BJP leadership why they have compromised on the stand which they took before the formation of Government in Jammu and Kashmir.
He said Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti has categorically denied setting up of Sainik Colony in Kashmir recently in Legislative Assembly which has exposed the false campaign of the power hungry BJP.
BJP being alliance has become mute spectator and is unable to establish Sainik Colony in Kashmir even for the soldiers holding State Subject.
“They were claiming earlier that not only State residents but Indian army personnel from across the Country who served in Jammu and Kashmir,” alleged Manjit Singh.
He further said that BJP has diluted from its stand only to remain in power. “The power hungry BJP has betrayed ex-army men. The BJP leaders have adopted a policy of silence,” he alleged.
Former Minister appealed that Government to consider the long pending demands of the soldiers and establish a Sainik colony like it is established in Jammu.
