Clerical staff observe pen down strike

JAMMU: On the call of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh All Departments Clerical Staff Association, the clerical cadre of J&K State Government observed day long strike across the State.
In all the districts headquarter of Jammu Province, the clerical cadre from different departments gathered and held demonstrations in protest against non-implementation of Pay Anomaly Committee Report constituted vide order No.67-GAD of 2012 dated 16th January 2012 regarding removal of pay anomalies of clerical cadre of 5th Pay Commission.
While addressing the gatherings at different office complexes, Ravi Singh Bhau, Anil Mehta, Sukhbir Singh, Ravi Kumar, Bashir Malik , R.P Sharma, Hamid Husain, Ram Dass Thapa, J. R Sagar, Kirpal Singh, Brijesh Mehta, Mohan Lal, Onkar Chand, Vikas Gupta, Ranbir Singh, Parkash Singh, Ashish Bhandari, Sarita Wadhera, Romesh Singh Bhau, Avtar Krishan, Yash Paul Sharma, Rajinder Singh, Anil Kesar and Sudesh Kumari condemned the callous attitude of the State Government towards the clerical cadre with regard to genuine demand which stands already agreed by the State Government vide various agreements carried out between Association and the cabinet sub-committee of the State Government.
Clerical staff of Health Department today observed one day pen down strike demanding removal of the pay anomalies with immediate effect.
PWD (R&B) Jammu Clerical Staff Association staged protest against the callous attitude of the State Government towards clerical cadre with regard to just and genuine demand which stands already agreed by the State Government regarding removal of pay anomalies.
Led by Chairman of the Association, Madan Lal Sharma, the employees assembled at Lok Nirman Bhawan, Rail Head Complex here and raised slogans in support of their demands.
At Kashmir, the clerical cadre also observed strike and held protests and demonstrations at different office complexes.
Meanwhile, Jammu Kashmir Ladakh All Departments Clerical Staff Association has decided to hold apex body meeting on 5th June 2016 to decide further course of action.
