KATHUA: Organised by the department of Youth Services and Sports, the inter-school district level tournaments of district Kathua witnessed the competitions in the disciplines of judo, kick box and Taekwando at Sports Stadium, here on Tuesday.
The tournaments is being held under the directions of Joint Director Youth Services and Sports and the supervision of District Youth Services and Sports Officer (DYSSO) Kathua, Sunil Kumar.
Today’s matches were officiated by Pankaj Spolia, Rajive Kumar, Mohan Lal Dub, Joginder Kumar Khajuria, Ashok Mangotra and Punjab singh.
The overall championship trophy of under-14 boys and girls judo was bagged by Government High School (GHS) Chadwal of Zone Hiranagar while GHS Airwan remained at second place.
Similarly, in Taekwando u-14 and 17 boys and girls, Delhi Public School (DPS) Rajbagh become champion and KV Hiranagar remained at second place.
Kritika Sharma, Riya Sharma, Rita Devi, Priya Devi, Prity Devi, Neha Devi and Lakshmi Devi in u-14 while Arti Devi, Monika Devi, Sanjana Sharma, Shallu Devi, Asha Devi, Neha, Soloni Salotra, Anmol Sharma in u-17 qualified for State level judo competitions.
Similarly, Manoj Kumar, Irshad Ali, Tahir Hussain, Vishal Kumar, Rahul Choudhary, Vishal Kumar, Govind Sharma also qualified in their respective weight categories in u/14 boys competitions. Shivam, Piyush, Gouri Dev, Mohit Singh, Karan, and Keshav Khajuria reached to the state level competitions in u/17 Boys Judo.
