16 Kg ganja recovered, one held

JAMMU: Police on Thursday arrested a drug peddler and recovered 16 Kg of ganja from his possession.
Reports said that, a police party led by SHO Police Station Gangyal, Inspector Aijaz Wani laid a Naka at Mrakhri Mohalla Gangyal and apprehended a person and during the checking about 16 kg of ganja was recovered from him.
SHO Gangyal said the arrest has been made on the basis of reliable information that a drug peddler namely Ajadi Saw (52) son of Haradev Saw, resident of Gayasapur Mahaji Town, Village Gyasapur Mahaji, District Patna, at present staying at Digiana Camp Gurudwara, Jammu, has brought the consignment from Patna by train. Accordingly police laid a Naka and apprehended him.
In this regard, a case FIR No 31 under 8/20 NDPS Act was registered at Police Station Gangyal. It is pertinent to mention here that already 3 FIRs were registered against him.
