BJP’s ‘zero tolerance’ on anti-national razed to ground zero: Harsh

STATE TIMES NEWS
JAMMU: Enraged by the series of seditious acts by the anti-national elements and divisive forces all across the country and Kashmir in particular, Jammu and Kashmir National Panthers Party (JKNPP) on Monday staged a protest against the BJP and PDP for remaining quiescent over the sedition rows.
Scores of Panthers activists led by Harsh Dev Singh Chairman JKNPP, Balwant Singh Mankotia, State President JKNPP and Yashpal Kundal State President Young Panthers assembled at Exhibition Ground, here and raised anti-government slogans.
Expressing skepticism over the dichotomous stand of the BJP on zero tolerance against the anti-national activities, Harsh deplored the ugly episode of clash inside the NIT Srinagar campus on the eve of semi-final match of T20 World Cup when certain anti-national elements rejoiced India’s defeat by the Caribbean.
He maintained that the delinquents who were involved in India bashing were required to be booked for sedition besides other provisions of the Ranbir Penal code.
Singh further rebuked the torching of Tricolour and pro- Pak sloganeering in Indira Gandhi Government Dental College Jammu by some mischievous elements and sought invocation of appropriate provisions of law against the malefactors.
He condemned the State Government for pathetic plight of pro-India students of NIT Srinagar who were being assaulted, abused, manhandled not only by the anti-national element but even were being threatened by local administrations and faculty members.
He said that during the unholy regime there were several occasions when ISIS and Pakistan flags were waved in Kashmir amid anti India and pro Pak slogans but the State BJP cowardly surrendered to the whims of Kashmiri leaders. Likewise, during the seditious JNU row which emanated from the death anniversary of Afzal Guru, BJP exhibited chauvinistic posturing by detaining Kanahiya Lal in the Union capital but ironically its ‘Zero tolerance’ slogan against anti-national elements was razed to ground zero.
He asked the BJP that why those anti national elements were not booked under sedition and where was its nationalistic character when they were allowed to go scot free. He sought the invocation of Sec 124-A (Sedition) and Sec 121 against the offenders relating to waging / attempting/ abetting to wage a war against State without any further delay.
Lambasting the reunion of the diametrically opposite BJP and PDP, Mankotia and Kundal maintained that the saffron brigade had become power corrupt which has put its kernel philosophy at stake by remaining dumb over the sedition rows.
Prominent among other who were present on the occasion included Jagdev Singh, S. Paramjit Singh Marshal, Rajesh Pargotra, Shanker Singh Chib, Gagan Pratap Singh, Sham Gorka, Nirmal Kishore, Chetan Sharma, K.K Sharma, Rajesh Gondhi, Kailash Mohan, Khajur Singh, Inderpal Singh and Udayveer.
