JAMMU: Under the captaincy of IGP Jammu, Danesh Rana, JKP Daredevils scripted a win over JKP Stars XI led by IGP Vigilance Jammu Alok Puri in the second match of the JKP Masters’ T20 Cricket Series for the Senior Police Officers being organised jointly by Jammu and Kashmir Police and KC Sports Club Jammu at KC Sports Club, here on Sunday.
Earlier, the JKP Daredevils won the toss and elected to bat first and set a target of 66 runs in 19.3 overs for the loss of eight wickets.
Rajesh Gill was the main scorer with 20 runs followed by Amit Koul and Chandan Kohli, who added 11 and nine runs to the total respectively.
From the JKP Stars XI , Alok Puri took one wicket while other batsmen were declared run out due to good fielding.
In reply, JKP Stars XI could not chase the target and was bowled for only 30 runs in 17.4 overs. Alok Puri ( nine) and Ashok Sharma (eight) were the main scorers. From JKP Daredevils, Chandan Kohli and Sajjad Ahmed Salaria took two wickets each .Chandan Kohli was declared Man of the Match.
In this three-match series, both the teams are levelled with one victory each and the winner of the last match will be declared as winner of the championship.
Today’s match was officiated by Ajay Kumar, Shubam Singh and Touqeer whereas the proceedings and commentary were conducted by R.P Singh.
The Coordinators of the championship are Dr. Sunil Gupta SSP Jammu, Ramesh Kotwal SP Headquarters Jammu, Arjun Choudhary Director KC Sports Indoor Complex and Rajesh Gill Chief Prosecuting Officer NHRC Jammu. The event is being organised under the overall supervision of Danesh Rana, IGP Jammu.
