15 bovines rescued, two smugglers nabbed

REASI: Police on Wednesday foiled two bovine smuggling bid by rescuing 15 bovines and arresting two smugglers.
According to a report, a specific information was received at Police Station Arnas that some persons were on way towards Kashmir along with bovines via Hunder Gali Tehsil Arnas.
On this, a police team headed by Inspector Sanjay Gupta, SHO Police Station Arnas under the supervision of Zaffar Nawaz, SDPO Arnas, Sanjay Singh Rana, Addl. SP Reasi and overall supervision of Sujit Kumar, SSP Reasi laid a Naka at Hunder Gali.
During Naka duty, police apprehended one bovine smuggler namely Qamar Din son of Ghulam Nabi resident of Shajroo Tehsil Mahore, district Reasi and rescued seven bovines from his possession.
A case under FIR No. 45/2015 section 188 RPC and 3 PC Act was registered at Police Station Arnas.
Meanwhile, on specific information, a police party led by SHO Ramsoo Inspr Ab. Momin Zargar, under the
supervision of SDPO Banihal Mohd Rafiq and SSP Ramban Randeep Kumar, laid a special Naka at Ramsoo and one Mahindra Mobile bearing registration No. JK19-1943
was intercepted.
On which the driver of the vehicle tried to escape by accelerating their vehicles but police party chased them at a distance and stopped them. During checking, eight bovines were found to be loaded in the vehicle in a cruel manner.
On this, driver of vehicle namely Mohd Younus son of Mohd Qasim resident of Parnote Ramban was arrested and a case under FIR No. 32/2015 section 188 RPC 3 PCA Act was registered against him at Police Station Ramsoo.
