145 Bn BSF starts cleanliness drive

POONCH: 145 Bn BSF launched a special cleanliness drive conceptualised by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Mandi here on Tuesday.
Commandant of the Battalion, Dalbir Singh Ahalwat led the special cleanliness drive by cleaning Battalion area, roads and streets of Shri Budha Amarnath Mandi. Several senior BSF officers and jawans joined with full enthusiasm in the Abhiyan.
A pledge taking ceremony was organised which was attended by the personnel of the battalion and students of the area.
Dalbir Singh, in his speech, stated that cleanliness and sanitation are an integral part of the Gandhian way of living. His dream was total sanitation for all “Cleanliness is next to godliness,” he had said.
He called upon all the officers and jawans of the battalion to do their best to make Swachh Bharat Abhiyan a grand success.
