4th Eid Diwali Christmas Cup Janipur, Evershine, Sai Cricket Club register wins

JAMMU: Janipur Cricket Club, Evershine Club and Sai Cricket Club won their respective ties in the ongoing Fourth Eid Diwali Christmas Twenty20 Cricket Cup, organised jointly by Jammu and Kashmir Police Department, Simula Sports Club, Atman Sports Club and Christian Sports Organisation at Parade Ground, here on Friday.
In the first match, Janipur Cricket Club defeated RCC Rainawari by seven wickets. Earlier, batting first, RCC Rianawari scored 111 runs in stipulated 16 overs with Puneet Wattal (38) and Amandeep (17) being the main scorers. Mohit took three wickets while Raghu and Shamshudin shared two wickets each for Janipur Cricket Club.
In reply, Janipur Cricket Club achieved the target in the last over of the game by losing three wickets. Mukul played a brilliant knock of unbeaten 60 runs while J.D contributed 30 to the total. Sourav took two wickets for RCC. Mukul was adjudged Man of the Match.
In the second match, Evershine Club scripted a 48-run win against BCCC XI. Batting first, Evershine Cricket Club scored 168 runs losing four wickets in 16 overs. Bansi Lal made 58 runs and Jagandeep added 32 to the total. Mehraj took two wickets while Ishtiaq and
Mohsin shared one each for BCC XI.
BCC XI, in reply, could not chase the target and scored 120 runs losing eight wickets in allotted overs. Fiyaz (47) and Shokat (17) runs were the main scorers. Bansi Lal picked three wickets while Hardeep and Narinder shared one each. Bansi lal was adjudged Man of the Match.
In another match, Sai Cricket Club defeated JK Warriors XI by 22 runs. Batting first, Sai Cricket Club scored 100 runs. Surinder (17), Arvind (16) and Ashu (13) were the main scorers. Kapil claimed three wickets, Satish took two and Rahul and Naseem shared one each. In reply, JK Warriors XI, failed to chase the target and managed to score 78 runs for the loss of ten wickets. Naseer, Shakeel and Rahul made 18 runs each. For Sai Cricket Club , Surinder clinched four wickets, Dheeraj took three and Minto picked two wickets. Surinder was declared Man of the Match.
Today’s matches were officiated by Sandeep Manchanda, Vinod, Sunil Sambyal and Danny.
FIXTURE: Khalsa Cricket XI shall take on Singh Cricket Club at 8:30 AM; All Greens Cricket XI shall meet KC Sports
Club at 11:30 AM; Jammu Police XI shall lock horns against ICC XI at 2:15 PM tomorrow.
