BJP welcomes Pak’s steps to control elements propagating militancy, separatism in India

JAMMU: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has welcomed steps being taken by Pakistan to show to world community, especially India, that it would check and control elements propagating militancy and separatism in India, especially Jammu and Kashmir.
In a press statement issued today, BJP State Chief Spokesperson, Sunil Sethi said that though action has come too late and after much delay but this can help improve relations between the two countries and making grounds for meaningful dialogues between two countries initiated by visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. “Improvement of relations will ensure peace, progress and prosperity in the region, which will do well to economics and stability of region”, said Sethi.
He also noted that now the talks have been put on roll by Narendra Modi, it is on Pakistan to carry the process ahead by showing seriousness in not allowing its territory to be used for any propaganda or conspiracy against India. If bonafides are shown by Pakistan, there will be new era of friendly relations between two countries, he added.
He, however, warned Pakistan Government to be vary of rouge elements in ISI and Pakistani Army who may not be appreciative of the peace talks between two regional power houses.
“If Pakistan can control these elements, substantial progress will be made for peace in the State opening new vistas for the younger generation of the State” said Sethi.
