3 IAS officers transferred; 8 promoted

Shantmanu re-designated

JAMMU: The government on Monday designated Shantmanu as Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Principal Secretary to the Government, Election Department, and ordered transfer of three IAS officers besides promotion of 8 IAS officers.
According to an order the state government accorded sanction to the promotion of Shantmanu, IAS to the Higher Administrative Grade of Rs 67,000-79,000 with annual increment of 3 per cent with effect from 1st January, 2016.
“Consequent upon his promotion, Shantmanu shall be designated as Chief Electoral Officer, J&K/Principal Secretary to the Government, Election Department,” reads the GAD order.
Meanwhile, the government also ordered promotion of Vineeta Gupta, IAS and Shahid Anayatullah, IAS to the Super Time Scale of Rs. 37,400-67,000 with Grade Pay of Rs. 10,000 with effect from 1st January, 2016:-
Ajeet Kumar Sahu, IAS has also been promoted to the Selection Grade of Rs. 37,400-67,000 with Grade Pay of Rs. 87,001 with effect from 1st January, 2016.
Besides, the government ordered promotion to the Senior Time Scale of Rs. 15,600-39,100 with Grade Pay of Rs. 66,001 with effect from 01-01-2016 of four other officers including Syed Abid Rashid Shah, Ravinder Kumar, Piyush Singla and Mohd. Aijaz.
In yet another order, the government ordered transfer and posting of Pramod Kumar Jain, IAS as Chairman J&K Special Tribunal, relieving Rakesh Kumar Gupta, IAS, Principal Secretary  Environment and Ecology Department of the additional charge.
Bharat Bhushan Vyas (IAS) has been posted as Financial Commissioner, Information, Hospitality and Protocol and Civil Aviation Departments. He shall also hold additional charge of the Administrative Secretary for the Estates Department.
Nirmal Sharma, IAS, awaiting orders of adjustment, has been posted as Secretary to the Government, Labour and Employment Department, reliving Shailendra Kumar (IAS), Commissioner Secretary to the Government, Industries & Commerce Department of the additional charge.
