Police bursts illegal arms manufacturing unit, 2 held

Noida:- With the arrest of two persons from Kakrala village here, city police here today claimed to have busted an illegal arms manufacture unit.

Acting on a tip off, police team raided the area near a tubewell in the village where the illegal unit was being run and arrested two person, identified as Mohit alias Bholu and Pramod Rawal, Superintendent of Police, city, Dinesh Yadav said.

“On search of the tube well premises five country-made pistols (CMPs), five live cartridges and around a dozen CMPs and also the equipment to manufacture them was recovered,” Yadav said.

“On interrogation the arrested duo revealed that they used to manufacture CMPs on demand and charge Rs 2000- Rs 3000 per piece. They said they have so far sold around hundred CMPs to criminals,” the SP said.

Further probe is on, he said.
