7-member team to represent J&K in Billiards, Snooker

JAMMU: Jammu and Kashmir Billiards and Snooker Association has finalised the seven-member State team taking part in the upcoming Manisha National Billiards and Snooker Championship slated to be held at Emerald Height International School, Indore, Madhya Pradesh from 12th to 31st January.
“The Association has already submitted entries for the projected team for the upcoming event which is organised by the Madhya Pradesh Billiards and Snooker Association under the aegis of Billiards and Snooker Federation of India”, Senior Vice President of the Association, Jaideep Manocha told.
To begin with sub-junior billiards on 12th January, the championship shall conclude with the holding of senior snooker main from 27th to 31st January.
Earlier, the selection of State team was made on the basis of performance in the recently held State Championship.
Meanwhile, as per the reports reaching here, the organisers have already received highest 240 entries for senior snooker qualifying round, followed by the 170 in junior snooker qualifying round.
The Team: Sub-junior snooker: Basit Wani and Sanad Sharma.
Junior Snooker: Momin Mehraj Khan and Atther Shafi.
Senior snooker: Younis Kuchey and Rahil Bhat. Senior Snooker qualifying: Mudasir Ashiq.
