130 kanal state, custodian land retrieved at Sikanderpur Bishnah from encroachers, NDPS Act offenders

JAMMU: District Administration Jammu has retrieved prime land worth crores of rupees during an anti-encroachment and demolition drive at village Sikanderpur, Tehsil Bishnah. The drive was carried out on Friday on the directions of District Magistrate Jammu, Dr. Rakesh Minhas and in coordination with SSP Jammu, Joginder Singh.

Land measuring about 130 kanal, falling under Khasra Nos. 308, 389, 2206, was under illegal occupation with several illegal structures raised by the encroachers, which include offenders booked under NDPS act.
The land retrieved is being handed over to the concerned department and part of it would be proposed for constructing Niabat, Patwar Halqa and Police Chowki.
The anti-encroachment drive was conducted under the overall supervision of SDM Jammu South, Manu Hansa and Superintendent of Police HQ Jammu, Irshad Rather in presence of Tehsildar Bishnah, Ankush Tripathi, SDPO R.S Pura, Gurmeet Singh, SHO Bishnah, Rakesh Jamwal and other officials from Revenue and Police departments.
