13 Agriculture Department officials, others attain superannuation

JAMMU: A total of 13 officers and officials of Agriculture Department superannuated on Saturday after serving for more than 33 years in various capacities in the Agriculture Production Department.
Directorate of Agriculture gave an affectionate, warm and graceful farewell in the Auditorium Hall of Krishi Bhawan, Jammu. The hallmark of the event was the presentation of bouquets and mementoes by the office bearers of different associations of the department.
Hari Krishan Razdan, Director Agriculture, Jammu appreciated the sincerity, dedication and devotion in working of the outgoing officers and listed their efforts in achieving various targets in the department during their tenure.
The superannuated officials include S. Matinder Singh, District Agriculture Officer, Jammu; Ramesh Kumar Bhagat, Assistant Soil Survey Officer, Jammu; Ravinder Singh Manhas, Subject Matter Specialist-III; Jugal Kishore Gupta, Subject Matter Specialist-II Udhampur; Om Parkash Sharma, Agriculture Extension Officer, Nowshera; Naseeb Singh, JAEO, Doda; Yudvir Singh, JAEO Samba; Suresh Kumar Jogi, JAEO, Doda; K. K Rishi, JAEO, Ramban; Jawahar Lal, Field Assistant; Ashok Kumar Gupta, Field Assistant, Samba; Abdul Gafoor, Field Assistant, Ramban and Vakil Singh, PP Operator, Samba.

Razdan praised retiring staff and officers for rendering best possible services who have always remained connected with the farmers at grass root levels while working in various wings and sections of the department in different districts of the State. He also thanked the organising committee of Directorate of Agriculture for the conduct of this event to give a very warm send off to the retirees.
S.S Lakhanpuria, Joint Director of Agriculture (Extension), K. S Sambyal, Joint Director of Agriculture (Inputs), Bulesh Zutshi Joint Director of Agriculture (SLUB) besides others also spoke on the occasion and appreciated the work and achievements of all the retirees and wished them a healthy and socially active retired life. The proceedings of the function were conducted by Rajesh Verma, Agriculture Extension Officer, Mishriwala.
A Senior Transmission Supervisor of United News of India (UNI) posted at Jammu Bureau Office was accorded warm send off by the staff on attaining superannuation here.

Subash Chander Sharma, Senior Transmission Supervisor, at UNI’s Jammu Bureau office was today accorded a warm farewell in a simple function on attaining superannuation after rendering over 39 years of dedicated service in country’s premier news agency.
Sharma started his career from UNI Jammu on October 2, 1978 as a messenger on a daily wages of Rs 4 per day. However, due to hard work and dedication towards duty, his services were regularised as messenger and as Junior Operator and later, he was promoted as Senior Transmission Supervisor.
Extending gratitude to his colleagues, Sharma, said he felt overwhelmed by the love and respect he received from his colleagues throughout his career.
Bureau Head, Jammu Bureau, Vishal Bharti hailed Sharma for his dedication and honesty for the job and termed him a person with varied capabilities. He also wished him healthy post-retirement life.
Other Staff members Bishan Singh Manhas, Karan Singh Bhau and Suraj Prakash also extended their good wishes to Subash Chander.
