11 bovines rescued in Ramban

RAMBAN: Police on Friday foiled a bovine smuggling by rescuing 11 bovines from the clutches of the smuggler at Ramban.
According to a report, a police party led by Inspector Vinod Kundal, SHO Police Station Ramban laid a Naka at Shan Palace NHW under the supervision of Mohd Rafiq Choudhary Dy. SP Hqrs Ramban and Randeep Kumar, SSP Ramban. During checking of vehicles, a Truck (8579-JK02AA) was stopped. Sensing trouble, driver of the vehicle accelerated but was chased by cops and intercepted the vehicle at short distance which was left abandoned by driver who has been identified as Manzoor Ahmad son of Gamma resident of Govindpur Maitra. During checking of the vehicle, 11 bovines were found loaded in it in a cruel manner being smuggled from Jammu to Kashmir Valley.
The bovines were rescued and manhunt has been started to nab the deiver. A case under FIR No. 09/2016 section 188 RPC, 3 PCA Act was registered at Police Station Ramban against the accused.
