REASI: Amba Kids Home Panthal emerged overall winners and Panthal Fencing Club runner-up in girls section while Zorawar Fencing Club Reasi won overall championship and Royal Fencing club runner-up in boys section in the 10th Reasi District Open Fencing Championship, which concluded at Indoor Hall of DIET Reasi, here on Monday.
“The two-day championship was organised by Reasi District Fencing Association in all age groups including boys and girls, in which around 135 fencers drawn from different clubs and schools participated,” disclosed Organising Secretary-Vikas Barru.
In the closing ceremony, Dy SP (Hqr) Mohan Sharma was the Chief Guest while Jagdish Kumar, Dr Kapoor and Narinder Sharma were the Special Guests. The cultural programme presented by the fencers made the function colourful.
Winners of the championship were awarded with certificates and medals.
Ajay Kumar, Vaneet Pangotra, Abhinav Pangotra and Rajay Kumar were the technical officials of the event.
