100 days of BJP-PDP misrule betrayed aspirations of Dogras: Harsh

 STATE TIMES NEWS
JAMMU: Launching a scathing attack on the mis-governance of BJP-PDP Coalition Government, Panthers Party held a protest spearheaded by Harsh Dev Singh Chairman NPP, Balwant Singh Mankotia State President JKNPP and Yashpal Kundal State President Young Panthers outside the Press Club, here on Monday.
Blaming ruling BJP-PDP combine for grossly failing on all fronts and administering a series of severe discriminatory dozes to Jammu region while indulging in 100 days of ‘political debauchery’, Harsh said BJP for inflicting a big dent upon Dogra’s pride by cowardly surrendering before its coalition partner on all its grandiloquent pre-poll slogans and its solemn pledges made to the people of Jammu ahead of Assembly elections.
Harsh reminisced the discrimination doled out to Jammu region immediately after the formation of the government in the State when BJP conceded AIIMS to Kashmir that was actually sanctioned for Jammu region in the Union budget session on 28th Feb 2015 by the Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley in New Delhi, just to appease its senior partner PDP at the cost of long cherished dream of the people.
The public resentment during the recent successful Jammu Bandh calls on 24 April and 27 May against the BJP, infer the seething anger and outrage of the people of Jammu region who have been hoodwinked, betrayed and humiliated by the Saffron brigade.
Harsh criticised the govt’s move to terminate reportedly 62,000 temporary workers in various Govt. departments by issuing a draconian Govt. Order No. 384-GAD of 2015 dated 17th March, 15.
He said that lands of farmers were being acquired at negligible prices and even free of cost in certain cases by the J&K govt. in dissonance with the fact that all other states were paying two to four times the market value of land sought to be acquired under the revised Land Acquisition Law enacted by UPA govt. in 2013.
The tragic tale of farmers in Jammu region continued when they were recently paid the compensation ranging from Rs.47 to Rs. 200 for the loss of their crops by the BJP partnered government thus playing a cruel joke with the farming community.
Balwant Singh Mankotia lashed out on the servile stand of BJP before the PDP for the lust of power and regretted that the Saffron Party has resorted to rabble rousing on the issue of Article 370 to divert the attention of people.
Mankotia pointed out that security related expenditure (SRE) was grossly abused in the State as several political workers of the ruling alliance were being fed and sustained on SRE besides providing them govt. vehicles and free fuel.
He further sought a probe into the Rs 500 crore expenditure shown to have been incurred out of public exchequer on providing security, residential guards, escorts, several perks and fuel to Separatist and other Hurriyat leaders.
Yashpal Kundal lambasted BJP for ignoring other Jammu related core issues regarding Delimitation of Assembly Constituencies, issuance of Dogra certificate to the youth of Jammu, grant of State Subject rights to West Pak Refuges, abolition of Custodian Deptt. and conferment of ownership rights to its occupants, right to vote in Assembly Elections and local bodies to WPRs, reservation of five seats for PoJK migrants and three seats for Kashmir migrants, 33 percent reservation for women in Assembly, State Subject rights to children of daughters of J&K married outside, provision of six per cent vertical reservation to ex-Serviceman and martyr’s families and construction of artificial lake in Jammu. Moreover, the Saffron Party has desecrated the signature slogan of Shyama Prasad Mookerjee of ‘Ek Nishan, Ek Vidhan by entering into an unholy alliance.
