BISHNAH: Police on Thursday foiled a bovine smuggling bid by rescuing one bovine and arresting a smuggler at Bishnah.
According to a report, on specific information, a team from Police Station Bishnah laid Naka at Deoli and intercepted a Mahindra bearing registration number JK02BG /4023 carrying one bovine.
Consequently, the smuggler identified as Kulbir Singh, son of Sardol Singh, resident of Khour Dunia Tehsil R.S Pura was arrested and the vehicle was seized. A case vide FIR No. 14/2016 under Section 188 RPC was registered against him at Police Station Bishnah. The arrest was made by SHO Bishnah Inspector Kulbir Singh Choudhary under the supervision of SDPO R.S Pura Harjeet Singh, SP Headquarters R.C Kotwal and SSP Jammu Uttam Chand.
