Amarnath Yatra;RSS-PDP Govt can’t be absolved of responsibility for situation created in Kashmir: Bhim
STATE TIMES NEWS
JAMMU: Reacting strongly on the situation which has been created due to the failure of RSS-PDP Government in J and K to tackle with the situation created by militants in Anantnag during the centuries old Shri Amarnath Yatra, Bhim Singh, Chief Patron of NPP, called on the Parliament of India to intervene directly so that all misunderstandings and confusions created on constitutional relationship between Jammu and Kashmir and rest of the country are washed away once for all.
“There is one Constitution and one flag from Kashmir to Kanyakumari so that the fundamental rights and enshrined in Chapter III of the Indian Constitution extend through all citizens of India residing in Jammu and Kashmir,” he said.
Singh, while commenting on Prime Minister’s visit to four states in the African continent, expressed surprise that Prime Minister had no word to convey to the people of African continent about the greatest civilisation of India which has hidden treasures of thousands of years.
Bhim wondered if Indian Prime Minister was not aware of the situation rolling in Kashmir Valley where Prime Minister’s personal minister and Member Parliament from Udhampur was stationed in J and K.
Singh held the Parliament of India responsible for the present mess in J and K for keeping Jammu and Kashmir out of the domain of the Constitution of India by inserting Article 370 in the tail of the Indian Constitution.
Though temporary, Article 370 has last nearly 66 years and it is still operating as a cancer in the heart of the Indian Constitution, he said adding that the people of Jammu and Kashmir have been denied fundamental rights since 1950 by the Constitution of India though the people and their ruler acceded to the Union of India like other 577 states.
The Indian Parliament cannot escape the responsibility for the present mess which continues denying fundamental rights to the Indian citizens called residents of Jammu and Kashmir.
Bhim appealed to the people of Jammu and Kashmir, particularly the youth and the students, to join the movement launched by the Panthers Party for the inclusion of fundamental rights in the law books of Jammu and Kashmir.
Singh has written a questionnaire to the Governor N.N Vohra to constitute a high power committee to
take out the truth and facts relating to the deceased militant and his two colleagues so that the truth shall come out.
The questionnaire shall be released for public information on Tuesday if no action is taken in this regard, he said.
