Amarnath Yatra arrangements reviewed

GANDERBAL: Additional Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal, convened a meeting of district officers of various departments to review the arrangements to be made for smooth conduct of Shri Amarnathji Yatra commencing from July 2, 2016.
Chairing the meeting, Additional Deputy Commissioner said that district administration will make all efforts to ensure better facilities to the yatris including basic amenities like health, drinking water, sanitation, electricity, lodging etc. He directed the concerned officers to formulate comprehensive sanitation, health, traffic management and lodging plans for the hassle free conduct of Yatra. He also asked them to ensure all measures to meet out any exigency.
Additional Deputy Commissioner informed the meeting that as per directions from Shri Amarnath Ji Shrine Board (SASB), Notifications will be issued on 1st February, 2016 and the registration forms will be issued from 15th February to 15th March 2016. He directed officers to make arrangements for temporary/mobile toilets well in advance wherever is required.
