AMRITSAR: As soon as the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi announced slashed prices of stent, Amandeep Hospital implemented the same on the same day for the convenience of its patients.
Sharing this information to media-persons, Dr. Suresh Kaul, Senior Consultant and Head, Cardiac Department, Amandeep Hospital, Pathankot said that the aim of Amandeep Hospital is to provide world-class health services to its patients at very affordable rates. He informed that due to modern dietary habits and reduction in physical work, number of heart patients in India is ever increasing and in all most all the cases of heart attack, stent works as life saving device.
Due to this reason, Indian Government has added it to the National List of Essential Medicines (NLEM). He told that after the announcement by Prime Minister Modi, Amandeep Hospital called on the stent selling companies to clearly inform them that the Stents from now onwards will be purchased and sold to the patients on the rates prescribed by Government of India so that common man can get benefit out of it. Amandeep Hospital is the first hospital of the region to implement the slashed prices of Stent.
Dr. Suresh Kaul and Dr. Neelam Kaul further added that treatment in Amandeep Hospital has never been denied to the emergency patients due to payment issue.
“This is our moral duty to provide life saving treatment to the emergency patients and even needy people are treated free of cost.
Many surgeries have been performed free of cost for the needy persons. Amandeep Hospital believes to catch the disease at very early stage so that one has not to face the emergency situation,” they said. “Following points should be kept in mind to detect the heart-attack-breathlessness, feeling pain in neck, chest and jaw while walking, fatigue, feeling tired, etc.
People should eat less and proper, speak less and proper, exercise daily, pray and meditate daily,” they stated.
