JAMMU: Justice Bansi Lal Bhat of J and K High Court Jammu Wing in a petition filed by Channi Himmat residents for restraining the respondents from converting the land retrieved by virtue of construction of Thanger Nallah, Channi Himmat into commercial sites in violation of Master Plan, issued notices to Commissioners/Secretaries to Finance, Tourism, Housing and Urban Development, Divisional Commissioner Jammu, MD J and K Housing Board, Commissioner Municipality and Chief Executive Officer ERA returnable within two weeks and in the meanwhile ordered that subject to objections from other side and till next date before the Bench status-quo should be maintained.
The petition which is being represented by Senior Advocate B.S Salathia with Advocate Meenakshi Slathia also stated that there are different stretches earmarked in Channi Himmat Housing Colony for creation of Green Belt Parks but MD J and K Housing Board is trying the same into commercial site to determent constructional rights of the petitioner.JNF
